    Position Summary:

    We are seeking an experienced, results oriented Designer with a successful career in achieving major KPI goals. He/she will have strong leadership skills and a hands-on approach to managing and executing processes. Our customers (internal and external) are our major focus and a high level of satisfaction is our number one goal. This position works cross-functionally with many areas so we need a relationship building and team playing guru who knows how to relate to multiple levels of authority. This opportunity is located in Green River, WY so ability to relocate is essential.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Preparation of "issued for construction" drawings, material and equipment specifications
    • Design, drafting, procurement, construction oversight and surveying
    • Engineering Drawing Database, electronic and paper drawing files and electronic and paper blue print files
    • Training and installation of Engineering Drawing Database
    • mapping and utility locations
    • Plant engineering standards
    • Plant equipment standards
    • Other duties as assigned

    Activities:

    • Comply with the Plant Engineering annual safety plan
    • Coordinate with document management systems to support strategic objectives of the site as it relates to new projects, existing plants, PFD, P&IDs and electronic AFE systems
    • Engage, as an active member with the plane & process safety procedures, codes and regulations as required
    • Management of change in coordination with the document control organization
    • Ensure drawings comply with Plant and Department policies, standards & ergonomic recommendations
    • Under the supervision of a project engineer:
      • Obtain field measurements required for project work
      • Design and draft engineering projects
      • Preparation of "issued for construction" drawings, material and equipment specifications
      • Assist with procurement
      • Assist wit project spare parts
      • Provide construction, check-out and startup oversight
      • Assist with project closure
    • Complete surveying and fieldwork as assigned
    • Complete drawings and graphic presentations assigned
    •  Develop utility mapping and locate utilities in field
    • Support ISO 9000 efforts

     

    Qualifications

    Required Skills and Experience:

    • Associate’s degree from an accredited educational institution in Design Drafting Technology or related field OR High School diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accreditted educational institution with 3 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following:
      • Electrical Design
      • Piping/Mechanical Design
      • Civil Design
      • Structural Design
    • Design/drafting experience within a large-scale  industrial, specialy chemical or commodity industry
    • Experience with cold weather impact on engineering needs
    • Surveying experience
    • AutoCAD training and/or experience
    • Basic MS Office skills
    • Access experience

    Preferred Skills and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution in a relevant field
    • 5 years design anddrafting experience within a large-scale  industrial, specialy chemical or commodity industry
      •  10 years strongly preferred
