    Posting Title: Maintenance Planner/Scheduler

    Position SummaryThe Maintenance Planner/ Scheduler is responsible for scoping, planning and scheduling plant maintenance W.O. for one of our plants at the site. Also, creating  task lists (Archive plan) that can be retrieved and used several times, gaining productivity. It is also part of the planner responsibilities ensure all necessary parts are available for maintenance jobs. We are looking for a proactive planner/ scheduler that can utilize analytics to create efficiency within our PM’s, repair, and Compliance activities.


    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for work requests (notifications), manages back log in SAP, scopes & plans work orders, creates job packets, procures materials, and prioritizes and schedules work to maximize process up-time and minimize material costs and contract services
    • Tracks all work notifications and conversion of these notifications to work orders and plays a pivotal role in gate-keeping the work notifications with production
    • ensure value added notification/Work Order. A Value Added Work Order meets requirements for: added value, scope, completeness of information, prioritization and need date and complies with the Maintenance Reporting Business rules. any gaps in the performance of the process have been identified and measurements are in place to drive the performance improvement.
    • Determines resources and parts needed for maintenance work orders
    • Ensure parts needs to the job and completeness of kitting for execution
    • Develops and maintains work procedures associated with maintenance jobs
    • Manages repairable parts (920s)
    • maintains accurate and timely status codes on work orders to facilitate the scheduling process
    • Accountable KPI's associated with efficiency and effectiveness of work order execution -- PM, Schedule Compliance
    • Responsible for master data integrity
    • Know and understand the Union contract and Memorandums, minimizing Grievances
    • Ensure Planned OT within budget and minimizing 2P
    • Other duties as assigned



    Required Skills and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or university in Engineering with 1 year in industrial maintenance and/or production OR High School diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution with 3 years in industrial maintenance and/or production
    •  Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel

    Preferred Skills and Experience:

    • Strong SAP skills
    • Two years of line supervisory experience in production or maintenance
      • Five years of line supervisory experience in production or maintenance strongly preferred
    • Previous experience as a planner/scheduler
