    Posting Title:Accountant

    Location:Green River, Wyoming

    Pay Grade(s): 15-17

    Position Summary: This great opportunity allows the Accountant to work both with internal and external audit teams. The Accountant will work with multiple groups to ensure that they are meeting company financial standards. We are looking for the individual that can calculate costs,  as well as analyze costs and month-end results. This position will touch many aspects of the company, from researching information, to being a subject matter expert in SAP, and helping to support other departments including payroll. 


    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Accurate and timely financial reporting
    • Compliance with Company Financial Standards
    • Compliance with Sarbanes Oxley/internal controls
    • Input and analyze budget data for presentations to management
    • Process and maintain standard cost system data
    • Conduct period-end closing activities
    • Research and report any variances
    •  Compile and analyze month-end results
    • Compile and analyze forecasts
    • Maintain Capital projects in SAP
    • Maintain fixed asset systems in SAP
    • Calculate and analyze unit costs
    • Prepare royalty, severance and property tax reports
    • Interface with various government agencies
    • Reconcile and maintain applicable general ledger accounts
    • Respond to internal and external audit requests
    • Act as SAP Subject Matter Expert
    • Respond to information requests from various business units
    • Maintain inventory of auto records
    • Assist necessary areas with cost improvement initiatives and financial forecasting
    • Support site safety initiatives
    • Support payroll team
    • Support Vendor Master Data
    • Other duties as assigned



    Required Skills and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or university in accounting, finance, or
    • Intermediate MS Office skills

    Preferred Skills and Experience:

    • 3 years of accounting/auditing, inventory, or payroll experience
    • MBA or other advanced degree
    • Experience with payroll or payroll support
    • Experience in tax or tax support
    • Intermediate MS Office skills
