    The Mine Operations Support Coordinator directly engages in the utilities and support operations for our underground trona mine near Green River, Wyoming. The Mine Operations/Utilities Dept. focuses on support of mining operations. The support includes conveyor belts, hoisting, power and water supply, parts, supply delivery and other logistical support as needed. The ideal candidate will balance technical capability with demonstrated leadership skills.  Critical areas are planning and monitoring the department's supply spending, the construction for underground installations and the operation of the conveyor belts and hoisting systems.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Schedule all utilities related activities such as belt moves, power installations, and construction projects
    • Perform construction planning projects for underground facilities
    • Coordinate all mine outages
    • Maintain and control all KPI data and analysis
    • Prepare budgets and forecasting reports
    • Additional duties as assigned


    • B.S. Mine Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university and 3 years underground mining experience OR high school diploma or equivalent such as the GED from an accredited educational institution with 7-10 years underground mining experience
    • 1 year directly involved in the operation of conveyor belts 
    • Mine Foreman certification or ability to obtain within 12 months of employment
    • 2 years supervisory experience preferred
    • Hoisting systems operation preferred
    • Job planning or construction management experience preferred
