    Posting Title: CI Asset Management Systems Lead

    Location: Green River, WY

    Pay Grade(s): 22

    Position Summary:

    The CI Asset Management Lead will direct and lead the implementation of Asset Management System with an alignment to strategic objectives. You’ll create SOP’s, process flows, and risk mitigation practices, all while keeping in mind continuous improvement operations utilizing Lean and Six Sigma principles. The Lead will work directly with Reliability Engineers in the development of new PM’s, PdM’s, and CBM’s by working closely with shop floor employees to gather the right information to provide the proper training and insights in the maintenance department.

     

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Develop and oversee the implementation of the asset management system, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, and covering asset acquisition, registration, operation, monitoring, maintenance, and disposal in a manner that maximizes the value to the company over the asset’s life cycle while keeping safety at the forefront.
    • Engage and partner with functional leaders and asset management system users across the site to promote alignment, understanding, excellence in implementation, and efficiency in usage. Key departmental partners will include Reliability, Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, and SHE.
    • Support and maintain alignment with SafeTons (Site Manufacturing Excellence) methodologies, driving continuous improvement in processes and systems, especially as they pertain to asset management.
    • Conduct training on the asset management system and associated processes.
    • Monitor asset management system effectiveness and identify actions and initiatives to make improvements in a prioritized manner. Establish quarterly goals and pursue them using steps to milestones.
    • Oversee the PdPM process to maximize PdPM yield.
    • Oversee the Mechanical Integrity program.
    • Oversee and improve the PdPM development process.
    • Work with Reliability Engineers in the development of new PM’s, PdM’s, and CBM’s and in the improvement of existing ones, working closely with shop floor employees to gather input and to provide insights and training.
    • Utilize tools such as RCA and FMEA to develop asset management strategies.
    • Employ aspects of Total Production Maintenance in the asset management strategy.
    • Each quarter, lead a PM development initiative on selected equipment according to business priority, personally working with the front line and others to improve existing PM’s and create new ones as needed.
    • Identify high value “smart plant” opportunities and lead the effort to development of systems to capture them.
    • Oversee the overall PdPM and CBM process
    • Monitor KPI’s and ensure action is taken as needed
    • Review comments on incoming PM’s and ensure action is taken as needed by Reliability Engineers assigned to the associated areas.
    • Monitor the quality of PM input by maintenance personnel (completeness, quality of comments, etc) and provide feedback to the Director of Maintenance.
    • Ensure PM data is being recorded appropriately in the CMMS.
    • Identify opportunities to optimize the frequency of PM’s and work with Reliability Engineers to make adjustments toward optimal intervals.
    • Serve as the final “sign-off” on approvals to modify, create, or eliminate PM’s.
    • Assess the cost/benefit ratio of the PPM and CBM process on a quarterly basis. Communicate reasons for success when PPM targets are achieved and provide solutions when there are performance deviations in cooperation with Reliability Engineer
    • Ensure that PM’s are installed according to OEM recommendations for new equipment
    • Ensure effective communication to and from the Planner Scheduler and Outage Manager to ensure PM compliance is met for PM’s requiring downtime.
    • Oversees the maintenance of equipment files and history records.
    • Provide monthly updates on Mechanical Integrity compliance.
    • Additional duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Required Skills and Experience:

    • BS in Engineering
    • Three years of plant maintenance and/or reliability experience
    • Familiarity with Enterprise Asset Management systems (EAM)
    • Experience establishing and implementing Predictive and Preventative Maintenance programs
    • Strong CMMS skills (SAP preferred)
    • Experience in leading cross-functional teams in the development and establishment of an asset management related process

    Preferred Skills and Experience:

    • Lean Manufacturing experience preferred
    • SAP experienced preferred
    • Familiarity with IS0-55001 Asset Management Standard preferred
