    Posting Title: Customer Service Rep - Supply Chain

    Internal Title: Account Service Representative

    Position Summary: The Account Service Representative is responsible for nationwide distributor and third party customer sales and logistics support services for Genesis Alkali Soda Ash and Sodium Specialty products processed and manufactured at the Green River location.


    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Single point of contact customer interface for assigned Distributors including Third Party customers
    • SAP order entry, lead time management, and on-time logistics support of customer selected carriers and Genesis arranged carriers
    • Invoice processing to assure revenue collection meets goals
    • Maintenance of customer master data including shipping information that applies to the BOL
    • Provide back up for team members as needed covering: vacation time and illness
    • Maintain proficiency in critical sales support technology such as SAP and CRM
    • Responsible for end of year Distribution Rebate program for selected Distributors
    • Coordinate customer complaint resolution with sales and marketing teams
    • Responsible to manage all POD’s for each distributor throughout US monthly
    • Other duties as assigned

     Key Activities:

    • Manage short pays and credits for assigned distributors
    • Process customer orders and accurately enter into SAP while
    • Maintaining contact with Green River shipping to ensure product availability
    • Resolve transportation issues while keeping customers informed of any product delays or transportation delays
    • Process invoices and help in collection of payment
    • Provide appropriate documentation to customers on request
    • Responsible for answering the general 800 phone line
    • Customer Service for all technical questions and document requests
    • Enter complaints into CRM and attach all supporting and follow up until resolved
    • Participate in quarterly customer service meetings
    • Maintain proficiency on SAP and CRM
    • May require travel to various distributors and maintain close professional relationships
    • Process invoices and participate in billing and collection issues
    • Provide documents to customers to support order fulfillment or as requested by the customer
    • Manage complaint process (document customer complaints, direct to appropriate party for resolution, follow up with customer)
    • Manage dual processing in SAP for external procurement and scheduling agreements
    • Overtime and weekend coverage as needed
    • Special projects and ad-hoc reporting as needed (e.g. system upgrades, contingency planning)


    Required Skills and Experience:

    • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. Associates or Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
    • 0-3 years of customer service or related experience
    • Demonstrated learning agility and adaptability/flexibility
    • Strong customer orientation
    • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge and aptitude of computer systems

    Preferred Skills and Experience:

    • Prior CRM and ERP System experience, specifically SAP, is preferred, but not required.
    • Dual language capability, strong preference for Spanish
    • Chemical and/or process industry experience
